John C. Mason
John C. Mason, 70, Sullivan County, died of pneumonia, Monday, April 21, 2008, at Wishard Hospital, Indianapolis.
He was born in Portageville, Mo., Jan. 23, 1938, to the late Albert and Rosealee (Killion) Mason.
He married Patricia Jackson, in July, 1957. They were divorced February 1985. He married Bonnie Bryant in September 1986. They too were divorced.
Mr. Mason moved to Lebanon in 1959 and started Sheridan Roofing and Chemical Company a few years later. The business was moved to Whitestown in 1980, and he operated the business there until the early 90 s. He also built, owned and operated Big Red Flea Market, in Whitestown from 1980 to 1986.
Survivors include daughter, Pamela Roark and husband Tony, Lebanon; son Adam Mason and wife Renee, Anderson; granddaughters Jessica Roark, Muncie, and Cheyenne Roark, Lebanon; grandson Seth Roark, Lebanon; brother Albert Lee Mason, Sorrento, Fla., and several nieces and nephews. A brother Harold V. Mason proceeded him in death.
A memorial service will be held graveside at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 24, at Crown View Cemetery, Sheridan, with the Rev. Harrell Wilson officiating.
