Paula Dee Detamore

Ms. Paula Dee Detamore, 48, Indianapolis and a former Lebanon resident, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, of natural causes.
She was born in Lebanon, on July 20, 1959, the daughter of Lionel Dale “Pete” Detamore and Ruth F. Rose Detamore Burgin.
Ms. Detamore was a 1977 graduate of Lebanon High School.
She worked in the food service industry for most of her life as waitress and cook in several restaurants in Lebanon, Zionsville and Indianapolis. She enjoyed crafts and watching television, especially detective shows. One of her greatest joys was being a mentor to numerous area kids.
Survivors include a brother, Steven L. Detamore, Lebanon; sisters Nancy D. Acuna, Lebanon, Linda Sue Chapple and husband, Paul, Lebanon and Jean Haase and husband, Ronald, Indianapolis; aunts Margarete Detamore, Kokomo, Beverly McIntyre, Lebanon, Pauline Rose, Indianapolis and Shirley DeVol, Southern; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Her parents, stepfather James Burgin and stepmother Geraldine “Jerry” Slagle, are deceased.
No visitation is planned. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. July 24 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, Pastor John Fleming officiating. Myers Mortuary, Lebanon, is handling arrangements.
