1926-2008
Mary Frances (Cochran) King died Monday, Aug. 4, 2008, at the Sheridan Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was 81.
Born Sept. 18, 1926, she was the daughter of Elmer and Mabel (Kinkead) Cochran. She married Kenneth W. “Bud” King Dec. 31, 1942; he died Oct. 29, 2002.
She attended Kirklin High School and was a dedicated homemaker who helped on her family’s Clinton County farm. She was a member of the Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors include children Jeff King (wife Renai) of Sheridan, Jeanne Brandenburg (husband Mark) of Lebanon, Joyce Carney (husband Dan) of Frankfort and Jody Moring of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sister Ruth Sipe of Lebanon; and six grandchildren, Jacob and Jaren King of Sheridan, Jason and Emily Brandenburg of Lebanon and Doug and Steve Moring of Ft. Wayne;
Son Jerry Lee King died in 1955 and she also was preceded in death by brother Cecil Kouns.
Visitation is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Kercheval Funeral Home, 306 E. 10th St., Sheridan. Services will immediately follow, the Rev. V.J. Stover officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Sheridan.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeff King for the Sheridan Healthcare Center activities department, MAMA’s Cupboard or the charity of the donor’s choice.
