Clarence Ray Dellingner
Mr. Clarence Ray Dellingner, 69, of Whitestown, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
Mr. Dellingner was born Jan. 29, 1939, in Pickard Community of Clinton County. He was the son of the late Solomon and Goldie (Kerfoot) Dellingner. He graduated from Sugar Creek High School in 1957.
Mr. Dellingner married Nora J. Greathouse on Sept. 5, 1965. She survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked for Firestone in Noblesville for 17 years before working for Chrysler in Kokomo. He was a member of UAW Local 685.
Survivors include one son, Brian R. Dellingner of Sheridan; one daughter, Stacey R. (John) Robinson of Kirklin; two sisters, Bertha Crane of Clinton and Linda Hollenbaugh of Noblesville; four grandsons, David, Adam and Corbin Robinson of Kirklin, and Kalani Dellingner of Kailua, Hawaii; and two granddaughters, Kelsey Robinson of Kirklin and Destiny Dellingner of Sheridan.
Mr. Dellingner was preceded in death by six brothers, Ernest Dellingner, Richard Dellingner, Roy Lee Biddle, Howard Biddle, Paul Biddle and Ralph Dellingner; four sisters, Frances Dellingner, Helen Arghast, Alma Branch and Pauline Hoffman; and both parents.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kercheval Funeral Home, 306 E. 10th St. Sheridan. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, the Rev. Jeff Murray officiating.
