Barbara Tuck Stover
Barbara Tuck Stover, 88, of Central Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2008, after a brief illness.
Born on Jan. 5, 1920, in Dayton, Ohio, Barbara was a Central Indiana resident for 60 years.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Richard, his wife Jacqueline, their three grown children, James, Rebecca (Nyikes) and Marybeth, and great-grandchild Amanda Nyikes.
Barbara was a long time member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and various other volunteer organizations. She loved gardening, genealogy, and just sitting and chatting with friends.
Barbara and her mother Lela Tuck spearheaded a restructuring of the State of Indiana's mental health system in the ’50s and ‘60s.
She was predeceased by her husband Richard; sister, Dorothy; and parents, Edward and Lela Tuck.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at Zionsville Christian Church, 120 N. 9th St., Zionsville. A luncheon will be held at the church following the service.

Arrangements are entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center, Zionsville.
