1946-2009

Ruth A. Stockton of Lebanon died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at Witham Memorial Hospital. She was 63.

She was born March 28, 1946, the daughter of Ted and Beverly (Riley) Stockton; they preceded her in death. She married David Fairfield in 1962; he preceded her in death. She married Kenneth Wethington; he preceded her in death. She married Dennis Bradshaw, they divorced.

She worked as a custodian. She worked for Blue and White restaurant for several years, then the J.S. Kountry Kitchen and Lebanon Community School Corp. before retiring in 1997 due to her health.

She was a member of Thorntown Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and loved to play Bingo.

Survivors include daughters Jeannette (Eric) Cook of Lebanon, Jody Fairfield of Elroy, Wisc., Charlotte Wethington of Thorntown; son Danny (Peggy) Fairfield of Lebanon; sister Beck (Randy) Russell of Thorntown; brothers Norm (Ida) Stockton of Lebanon, Sam Stockton of Gorin, Mo., and Buster (Suzette) Stockton of Lebanon; grandchildren Christopher Richardson and April (Michael) Richardson, both of Lafayette, Tina (Chad) Tate of Kentucky, Danny (Heather) Fairfield, Nicole (Denny) Trent, Rachael Painter, Ryan Wethington, Samantha Cummings, all of Thorntown; great-grandchildren Gage Hussong, Trai Roby, Dakota Roby, Waylon and Savanna Tate, Damon Fairfield, Skla Fairfield, Angel Neese, Johny Neese, Marissa and Makala Trent.

She also was preceded in death by brother Butch, and great-granddaughter Gracie Marie Fairfield.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, Thorntown. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Russell & Hitch; the Rev. Bud Moody officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
