Mary Ellen Miller

Mrs. Mary Ellen Miller, 71, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Mrs. Miller was born Aug. 31, 1938, in Franklin, Ky. She was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Annabell (Hicks) Crossfield.

She lived in Franklin until she moved to Indianapolis, where she met her husband. She married James Waymon Miller on Dec. 4, 1954, in Indianapolis. Mr. Miller survives.

Mrs. Miller and her family moved to Boone County in 1970.

As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, she enjoyed her family, took pride in her children’s lives and liked to cook and take care of her home and family.

She attended the Lebanon Rock Church.

Survivors include her husband, who resides in Lebanon; three children, Ricky L. Miller and wife, Susan, Timothy L. Miller and James A. Miller and wife, Diana, all of Lebanon; six sisters, Wilma Jo Howell and husband, Joe, of Scottsville, Ky., and Sue Redman and husband, Howard, Evon Gregory, Anna Jo Sullivan and husband, Larry, Pamela Knight and husband, Ray, and Nancy Hayes, all of Franklin, Ky.; nine grandchildren, Michelle LaMont and husband, Eddie, of Pennsylvania, Gerald Wayne Miller II of Lebanon, Ricky L. Miller II and wife, Brandi, of Brazil, Cory Miller of Lebanon, Michelle Coffman of Thorntown, Justin Miller of Indianapolis, Kendra Thomas of Frankfort, and James Miller and wife, Jessica, and Cassie Miller, all of Lebanon; and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Gene Miller and Gerald Wayne Miller; a granddaughter, Lori Clark; and two brothers, Dwight David Crossfield and Robert Earl Crossfield.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services are to be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Myers Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Jerry Disbro officiating. Interment will be at the Browns Wonder Cemetery east of Lebanon.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
