Lora Jessie Reger passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014.
She was the daughter or the now late Guy and Louvenia (Wethington) Wethington. She was born on Nov. 7, 1934, in Clementsville, Ky.
She married Dale Reger on Feb. 28, 1954; he preceded her in death. They raised five children: Debbie of Lebanon, Tina Hill (Greg) of Lebanon, George (friend, Karen) of Lebanon, Carla Revell (Jerry) of Lebanon, and Annette Mueller (Herbert) of Greensboro, N.C.
Her brothers were Gene Wethington and Stanley Wethington, both of Lebanon.
Her grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie) Revell of Lebanon, Amanda (Nick) Lough of Huntsville, Ala., Zachary Reger of Chicago, Josh Reger of West Lafayette, Andrew Hill of Lebanon, Megan Reger of Indianapolis, and Jessica Hill of Indianapolis, all brought joy to her life.
She was a homemaker and worked cleaning houses and at the Lebanon High School cafeteria. She always had a zest for life with endless energy. She faithfully attended all sports and activities with much joy.
She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, including the birthday club. She spent many years volunteering with 4-H and never missed a hog show until recently. She also enjoyed the state fair.
She enjoyed spending time with all of her friends, shopping, and going to card clubs, Red Hat events and craft shows. She was also a dedicated patron of Titus Bakery.
Her children sincerely thank and appreciate all her friends for helping her during her illness.
Calling will be from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon, with the Rosary at 2 p.m.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, at the church. Father Timothy Kroeger will officiate.
Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Lebanon.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or the Boone County Cancer Society.
