Max Edward Stafford, 57, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Homewood Health Campus in Lebanon.
Max Edward Stafford was born in Marion, on June 18, 1956, a son of Edward C. Stafford and Nancy Lou (Pence) SimpsonMax was raised in Crawfordsville and attended Crawfordsville High School.
He was first married to Sallie Ann (Thompson) Caldwell on May 18, 1974, in Lebanon, Indiana and they later divorced. On Dec. 31, 1981, he was married to Barbara Lou (South) Stafford in Lebanon. She passed away on Feb. 2, 2008.
For more than 20 years, Max worked as the Plant Manager for Electro Chemical Coatings of Lebanon until the plant closed.
In addition to his family, Max loved being outdoors. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and camping with his family.
Survivors include father, Edward C. Stafford (wife Agnes) of Crawfordsville; mother, Nancy L. Simpson of Plant City, Fla.; daughter Heather Christina Ann Hale (husband Rob) of Lebanon; two step-children, Kristy Ann Bricker (husband Ryan) of Fishers and Bradley J. Henry of Lebanon; 12 siblings: Roger Northcutt (wife Debbie), Allen Northcutt, Tim Northcutt (wife Letha), Marilyn Evans (husband Gary), Kathy Lowe, Bernard Northcutt (wife Starr), Paul Northcutt (wife Donna), Jenene Fleck, Doug Simpson, Howard Stafford (wife Karen) and Patty Forehand; two grandchildren, Brenndon Rodewald and Bryce Rodewald; nine step-grandchildren, Tiffany Hale, Tasha Hale, Robin Hale, Rachel Hale, Devon Marshall, Dylan DeLong, Elitia Henry, Logan Henry and Jacob Henry; step-great-grandchild, Maise Henry; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; a son, Michael Christian Stafford; a stepdaughter, Debbie Marcum; and an uncle, Ned Pence.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday, Feb. 22, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Services will immediately follow at the funeral home, Pastor Lee Faust officiating.
