Mr. Randall K. Lane, 74, Lebanon, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at his home in Lebanon.
He was born in Sheridan on Oct. 2, 1939, a son of the now late William Wendell and Virginia Ann (Neal) Lane.
The Lane family moved from New Ross to Boone County when Randy was 15 years old. He completed his education in Boone County, where he graduated from Dover High School in 1957.
He was first married to Diane (Hampton) Lane in Boone County in 1962, and they divorced in 1987. On June 29, 1991, he married Jacqueline Price (Bates) Webster Lane in Speedway, and she survives.
In 1962, Randy joined the Indiana National Guard and later was a member of the Air Force Reserve before being discharged in 1968.
During his first marriage, the family resided in the Elizaville community and Randy was an employee of Shumate Business Forms in Lebanon. He moved to Indianapolis where he also worked for H & H Book Binding.
For the period of 1980 to 1987, Randy resided in Sarasota, Fla., where he also worked prior to returning to the family farm in 1987 where he had since resided. He retired in 2000 after 43 years of employment in the printing industry.
In addition to spending time with his family, he loved assisting farmers and helping around the neighborhood farms during the busy seasons.
