Tsung-We Ran

Tsung-We Ran, 55, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully, Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at home surrounded by his family. He was born August 28, 1958 in Taiwan, the son of Suifu and Genyu Ran. In 1988 he married Shu Chen Ran in Taiwan. They moved to Lebanon and opened Formosa Gardens Chinese Restaurant in 1991. Mr. Ran operated the business for 20 years until his courageous battle with cancer prevented him from continuing.

His hobbies included fishing, gardening, remodeling, building and cooking. He was known for his culinary talents and provided a wonderful dining experience for his customers.

Survivors include his parents, Suifu and Genyu Ran of Maryland; wife, Shu Ran of Lebanon; son, Long Ran of Lafayette; three sisters, and three nieces.

Family and friends will gather on Sunday, Feb. 23 from noon to 2 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon.
