Kent A. Morris

Kent A. Morris, 48, of Zionsville, passed away March 4, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospice.

Kent was born in Indianapolis on April 11, 1965, to Glen A. and Lynda K. (Israel) Morris. He was a graduate of Ben Davis High School and Purdue University. He married Mary Ann Ballard on Dec. 16, 1995.

Most recently, Kent worked for Willoughby Industries. Before that, he was a bus driver for the Zionsville School system for seven years. His little kids meant the world to him.

He was a member of the Boone County Antique Tractor Club, Boone County Conservation Club and the NRA. He, Mary Ann and their daughters, Kaitlyn and Kelly, were very active in Boone County 4-H Club.

Kent was a 4-H shooting instructor, and spent many hours teaching young children gun safety and proper shooting technique. He also spent many happy hours farming and playing the piano.

Kent is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; daughters, Kaitlyn Suzanne and Kelly Elizabeth; his parents, Glen and Lynda; his brother, Ryan (Stephanie) Morris, his brothers-in-law, Duard Ballard, Dan Ballard, Don (Sheri) Ballard, Greg (Winnie) Ballard; and a large and loving extended family.

Contributions in Kent’s memory may be made to Boone Co. 4-H Club, Inc., 1300 E. 100 S, Lebanon, IN 46052. Please put Kent’s name on the memo line of your check.A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 6, at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville, 105 W. Pine St., Zionsville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
