Mrs. Candy Lee Hopkins, 49, of Zionsville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012, at her residence in Zionsville.
She was born on Jan. 19, 1963, in Indianapolis, the daughter of Carl Richard and Janet Gay (Rhodes) Wilson.
Her early life was spent in Indianapolis before moving to Boone County. She was a 1981 graduate of Western Boone High School.
She married Greg Wade Hopkins on Jan. 9, 1982, in Lebanon. Mr. Hopkins survives.
For the past eight years, Candy worked as the logistics coordinator for Wheaton Van Lines in Indianapolis.
Candy was dedicated to her family, and she was very involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives. She enjoyed reading, crafting, rubber stamping, and frequenting garage sales.
She was a member of Connection Pointe Church in Brownsburg.
Survivors include her husband, Mr. Greg W. Hopkins of Zionsville; parents Mr. Carl and Janet Wilson of Whitestown; two children, Dustin Wade Hopkins of Indianapolis, and Whitney Nicole Hopkins of Zionsville; two sisters, Ms. Lorri Wilson of Lebanon; and Mrs. Tess Boyer and husband Robert of Lebanon; two brothers, Mr. Layton Wilson of Eugene, Ore., and Mr. Tydel Wilson of Palm Springs, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Noah Hopkins of Zionsville, and Brayden Hopkins of Indianapolis.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon Street.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, with Pastor Steve Reeves officiating.
Interment will be held at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
