Mary “Z” Zaharako


A Celebration of Life for Mary “Z” Zaharako will be held this Saturday, September 29th, in the Upper Level of the Carnegie Library in Lebanon from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with a program beginning at 11:30 a.m.  Born in 1943 to Gus and Margaret Zaharako, Mary died on July 6 at age 68 following a brief illness. She lived in Atlanta, Georgia. Although born in Columbus, Indiana, Mary grew up in Lebanon after her parents moved here to open Zaharako’s Sugar Bowl on the south side of the square. She is a 1962 graduate of Lebanon High School. Friends, classmates, and acquaintances of Mary are invited to honor and celebrate her life and the impact she made on others throughout her life and career. Refreshments will be served immediately following the celebration.
