Elva Fulwider Crane died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, in Ft. Myers, Fla.
Elva was born Sept. 11, 1920, in Shelby County, to the now late Eva Arnold and Luther Bryant Fulwider. She moved to Lebanon as an infant, and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1938.
In 1940, she married Buren “Boots” Crane, who preceded her in death in 1997.
Elva was employed for over 25 years at the Boone County State Bank. Boots and Elva moved to North Ft. Myers in 1973.
She was an accomplished bridge player and liked card games of all types. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. In July 2012, Elva moved to her daughter’s home in Ft. Myers.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Dr. Michael) Kyle of Ft. Myers; her son, John B. “Jack” (Karen) Crane of Carmel; and her brother, John Fulwider of N. Ft. Myers. She will live on through her eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.A celebration of life will be held in Ft. Myers on Saturday, Feb. 8th.
