Richard L. "Dick" Weaver

Richard L. "Dick" Weaver, 71, Lebanon, died Thursday, Nov. 21, at his home in rural Lebanon.

Richard Leroy “Dick” Weaver was born in Noblesville, Indiana on Aug. 29, 1942, a son of Raymond Weaver and Ruth Ann (Willits) Weaver Hall.

Dick graduated from Manual High School in Indianapolis.

On August 19, 1961, he was married to Betty Sue (McBride) Weaver in Indianapolis. Mrs. Weaver survives.

Dick was a long-time resident of Lebanon. He retired from Indiana Bell in the mid 1990s. During retirement, he began his own business, Pletch & Weaver, LLC and he had also farmed in Boone County for many years.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. In his free time, Dick enjoyed woodworking, camping, travelling and wintering in Arizona and Texas.

Funeral services are planned for Monday, Nov. 25, at 2 p.m. at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 North Lebanon St., in Lebanon.

Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.

m. on Monday at the funeral home in Lebanon.

Interment will follow at Mts. Runn Cemetery in Boone County.

He is survived by his wife, Betty S. Weaver of Lebanon; four children, Richard L. Weaver, Jr. and wife Teresa of Lebanon, Kevin E. Weaver of Lebanon, Bobby G. Weaver of Indianapolis, and Donna S. Weaver of Fort Wayne; a brother, Don Weaver of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Sunni M. Weaver, Richard Nickolas Weaver and Cameron W. Mercer; three great-grandchildren, Payton McKinney, Ava McKinney and Colton Allgood.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ann Weaver, and a sister-in-law, Kay Weaver.
