---- — Mrs. Patricia A. French, 72, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at her residence.

She was born in Lebanon on April 6, 1941, a daughter of the now late Paul G. Strohl Sr. and Mary (Jacobs) Strohl. Pat graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1959.

She married Stanley Lee French on July 15, 1960, in Lebanon. They enjoyed a beautiful and loving marriage until his passing on Dec. 26, 1977.

Pat worked for Lenox Lincoln Mercury as a business manager for 16 years. She then worked for Reynolds & Reynolds from 1997 to 2003. Her last job, prior to retirement, was working part time at Meridian Title Company until 2007.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Pat was a member of Central Christian Church, the American Legion and the VFW Auxiliary. She was also a retired member of Kappa Delta Phi. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, bowling and golfing, and was an avid Indiana University and Indianapolis Colts fan.

Survivors include two children, Scott D. French of Fort Wayne, and Janna M. Osborne of Lebanon; granddaughter, Shanna Lee Gilliatt of Muncie; mother-in-law, Lorena French of Ft. Myers, Fla.; brother-in-law, Steven (Glenna) French of Peyton, Colo.; sister-in-law, Linda Cleland of Ft. Myers; and four nieces and a nephew. She was very close with the entire French family, and appreciated their love.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; brother, Paul G. Strohl Jr.; sister, Janet Day; and an infant daughter, Lee Ann French.

Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A private interment of ashes will take place at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boone County Cancer Society, 117 W. Elm St., Lebanon, IN 46052.
