Lisa M. Malaterre

Lisa Maxine Malaterre, 45, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, Jan. 09, 2014, at her residence.

Lisa was born in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., on Oct. 16, 1968, a daughter of LeRoy S. Malaterre and the now late Beverly Ann (Orcutt) Malaterre. A longtime resident of Indianapolis, she graduated from North West High School. She then attended IUPUI.

Lisa worked as a child care provider for many years. She moved to Lebanon a couple of years ago, and had resided here since.

Dedicated to her family, Lisa was very active in her nieces’ and nephews’ lives. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Facebook. She was a proud member of the Chippewa Tribe and the American Indian Council of Indiana.

Survivors include her father, LeRoy S. Malaterre of Lebanon; daughter, LeAnna Malaterre of Lebanon; two brothers, Christopher K. (Mary) Malaterre of Lebanon, and Shelby (Elizabeth) Malaterre of Fishers; sister, LeAnn (Craig) Winningham of Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews.

Lisa was preceded in death by her mother; and stepmother, Nancy S. Malaterre.

Visitation is 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Myers Chapel of Memories.
