Ms. Norma Joyce Wood, 70, of Lebanon, died Friday, March 29, 2013, at Core Nursing Home in Dale.
Norma was born Sept. 7, 1942, in Bloomington. She was a daughter to the late Howard Rufus and Juanita Mae (Richardson) Merriman. Reared and educated near Bloomington, she was a graduate of Old Unionville High School.
For several years, Norma worked for RCA in Bloomington, as a color tester, making televisions.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she loved spending time with her family. She had a deep fondness for Elvis.
Survivors include two children, Gary Lee Wood of Bloomington and Stacey Gaspar of Lebanon; two brothers, Melvin Merriman of Bloomington and Richard Merriman of New Unionville; four grandchildren, Savannah Gasper, Nicholas Gasper, Cameron Gasper and Logan Gasper, all of Lebanon; and great-granddaughter, Madison Gasper of Lebanon.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Wood.
Graveside memorial services will be held at a later date at Old Unionville Cemetery in Unionville.
