---- — Mrs. Mary E. Campbell Witt, 92, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Parkwood Health Care Center in Lebanon.
Mrs. Witt was born May 26, 1921, in Lebanon, to the now deceased Robert P. and Pearl (Gardner) Dove. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1939.
She first married Ernest E. Campbell on Aug. 30, 1940; he was killed in action in March 1945. She then married Robert W. Witt on May 25, 1946, in Lebanon. Mr. Witt died Nov. 12, 2004.
Mrs. Witt was a secretary. She worked two years for Stewart Warner, two years at Montgomery Ward, eight years at Witham Hospital and eight years at Duff Farm Management.
She was very active in church and sang in the choir. She enjoyed reading, sewing and crafts. Mrs. Witt took great pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include sons, Robert Leslie Witt and Donald W. Campbell, both of Lebanon; daughter, Sharon L. Killen of Cocoa, Fla.; nine grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter.
Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, 223 N. Meridian St., Lebanon. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery.
