Anna E. Rader

Anna E. Rader, 87, of Lebanon, died Oct. 11, 2012, at Homewood Health Care in Lebanon.

She was born April 13, 1925, in Boone County, the daughter of the now late Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Jones) Parks. She married Pete Rader on Dec. 12, 1948, in Advance. He died June 5, 1996.

She graduated from Whitestown High School in 1944 during World War II. She worked at Winklers, then was a nurse’s aid for Witham Hospital for four years and for Oak Park Nursing Home for five years, then she was a house wife.

Her hobbies were sewing crafts, quilting, flower and taking trips with her husband on their motorcycle. She loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include daughter Pauletta  (Jay) Tranbarger of Lebanon; sons Mike (Judith) Rader of Whitestown and Melvin (Jeanie) Rader of Colfax; two sisters and a brother.

Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, 116 W. Plum St., Thorntown. Services will be 10:30 a.m. at Russell & Hitch, the Rev. Glen Jewell officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
