---- — Mr. Mark Lee Smith, 57, of Whitestown, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at his residence in Whitestown.

Mark Lee Smith was born in Lebanon on July 24, 1956, a son of Betty Jo-An Richards and Wayne E. Smith.

Mark attended Eagle Union Community High School in Boone County. He moved to Oklahoma City, Okla., and graduated from Oklahoma City High School in 1974.

After his return to Indiana, Mark went to work for Central Corrugated in Indianapolis. His most recent employment was doing Industrial Maintenance for Arbonne in Greenwood.

In addition to his family, Mark loved the out-of-doors, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was always there to help his family and his friends.

Survivors include father Wayne E. Smith and wife Schella M. of Lebanon; mother Betty J. Richards of Nashville; two children, Jennifer L. Herrington and husband Dwayne of Bargersville, and Jacob L. Smith of Lexington, Ky.; three brothers, Mike E. Smith and wife Rhondalyn of Lebanon, Mitchell Smith and wife Dianna of Middletown, and Martin K. “George” Smith of Sheridan; sister Bambi Coates of Newport News, Va.; two half-sisters, Susie Smith of Virginia and Tina Marie Smith of Georgia; grandson Dylan Herrington; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Services will follow at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery in Brown County.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
