Michael G. Leahy

Lafayette — Michael G. Leahy, 55, of Lafayette, died Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born on May 28, 1957, in Manhattan, N.Y., to Lawrence B. and Helen Anderson Leahy.

He was educated in Yonkers, N.Y., and went to the Sauder Trade School to study carpentry.

Michael worked for the Lafayette Coca-Cola as a route driver for the past 17 years.

He enjoyed gardening, carpentry and history. He was a great husband, father and a wonderful provider who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are wife Linda A. Cammisa-Leahy of Lafayette; son Michael A. Leahy of West Lafayette; daughter Alyssa M. Leahy of Lafayette; mother Helen Anderson Greve of Lebanon; brother James Leahy of New York; sister Dianna (Paul) Leahy-Kreisler of New York; and nephew John J. Leahy of Connecticut.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence B. Leahy.

A memorial visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2, at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel.
