Maria Amy (Durban) Grause, of Lebanon, born Oct. 7, 1954, in Cincinnati, Ohio, died June 22, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis.
Amy worked as an administrative assistant, most recently for the WTHR Sales Team in Indianapolis. For the previous 20 years, she had worked for GTE/Verizon in Westfield.
Amy enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, camping, and served as a Girl Scout leader in her daughters’ middle and high school years. Her caring nature inspired joy for so many who were touched by her presence in their lives.
Amy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert Grause; daughters, Katie Grause of Indianapolis and Cara (Cory) Gifford of Lebanon; mother, Dolores and stepfather, Charles Smith of Bradenton, Fla.; stepmother, Fran Durban of Miami, Fla.; sisters, Claire (Jim) Jacobi of Chesterfield, Mo., Cammy (Dave) Hapner of Asheville, N.C., and Lisa (Warren) Labonte of Bradenton; brothers, Tom (Darlene) Durban of Charlotte, N.C., and Bill Durban of Madison; granddaughters, Kaelie Grause and Madylin Gifford, both of Lebanon; stepgrandaughter, Jaycee Gifford of Franklin; 10 nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.
Her father, Thomas Durban, preceded her in death.
A memorial Mass will be conducted by Fr. Timothy Kroeger at 11 a.m. Saturday. June 29,at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 319 E. South St., Lebanon, with visitation for one hour before the service. All are invited to a reception in the church hall afterwards.
