Dwight P. Pullen

Mr. Dwight P. Pullen, “The Popcorn Man,” 69, born in Logansport, on Dec. 26, 1943, died at Homewood Healthcare on Oct. 12, 2013. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn (Cripe) Pullen; children, Kimberly (Bill) Westfall, Shelly (Kim) Maikranz, Matthew (Cassy) Pullen and Stephanie (Greg) Rapp; grandchildren, Joshua Westfall, Kara Westfall, Brendan Duff, Kyndal Duff, Kody Maikranz, Bryce Maikranz, Makailyn Maikranz, Ashland Maikranz, Mackynzie Pullen, Blake Pullen, Brooklyn Pullen, Chandler Rapp, Evelyn Rapp, Easton Rapp and Eleanor Rapp; and a brother, Duane Pullen. He was preceded in death by his parents Elver and Rose Pullen. Dwight attended Butler University and served in the Army Reserves. He worked for L.S. Ayres for 28 years as a buyer, traveling to California, New York and the Far East. He enjoyed watching basketball and any sports his grandchildren participated in. He loved being outdoors — camping with his family, or working in the yard, gardening and farming. He was a member of Grace Church, where he enjoyed playing the organ and piano. Dwight was also passionate about the Boone County 4-H Swine Show. Family and friends will gather Saturday, Oct. 19, for a celebration of his life at 11 a.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon.
