---- — Mr. Clifford "Ivan" Padgett, 94, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at his residence. Ivan was born Nov. 30, 1918, on the family homestead in Marion Township, Lebanon, the son of the now late Otha Thomas and Lora Dell (Parish) Padgett. A lifelong resident of Boone County, he graduated from Kirklin High School in 1937. On Oct. 14, 1939, he married Julia Francis Moore in Terhune. Mrs. Padgett passed away on June 6, 1996. Ivan farmed for many years. In 1971, he moved to Lebanon and began working at the Lebanon Community School Corporation as a custodian. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Sunday dinner at Ivan’s house was the place to be. He always looked forward to Sundays, when family would gather for a meal. He also enjoyed playing Euchre and Dominos. Ivan was a former member of Fairview Congregational Christian Church in Lebanon, Indiana Farm Bureau and the Marion Township Euchre Club. Survivors include four children, Roselle McKinney, Donna Biddle, Larry T. (Rita) Padgett and Michael R. Padgett, all of Lebanon; two sisters, Alta Mae Harmon of Zionsville and Imojean (Robert) Moore of Bellevue, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Penny J. McKinney, Patricia L. McKinney, Larry L. (Jenny) McKinney Jr., Robert E. McKinney, Lorri A. (Lex) Bogart, Lisa R. (Robert) Wirey, Belinda L. (Brian) Sparks, Nicholas M. (Lisa) Padgett, Thomas (Kayla) Padgett, John C. (Tammy) Biddle and Angela M. Morell; 19 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and longtime friends, Kenneth Perkins and Floyd Cragun. Ivan was preceded in death by his parents and his wife; four sisters, Flora Helen Moore, Lucille Hodges, Crystal Greene and Ilo Keeney; two sons-in-law, Larry McKinney Sr. and John C. Biddle; and a great-granddaughter, Anessia Reynolds. Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Myers Chapel of Memories, with Jim Kyle officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
