Daniel A. "Dan" Miller

Daniel A. "Dan" Miller, 66, of Fishers, formerly of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday, Nov.5, 2013.

He was born July 12, 1947, in Lebanon, the son of Carl and Anna (Armstrong) Miller. Dan was a 1965 graduate of Lebanon High School and attended Ball State University.

He founded Umpires for Youth and he and his wife Barb umpired many games over the years. Dan owned and operated Indiana Real Estate Institute. He was a true family man, and loved being a grandpa to his grandchildren. He enjoyed baseball and watching the Indianapolis Colts, boating, and was also a history buff and genealogist.

Dan was a member of The Promise Church in Fishers and MIBOR.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl E. Miller. Dan is survived by his wife of 33 years, Barb (Clayton) Miller; his children, Keith (Anne) Miller, Bryan (David) Miller, Jon (Jena) Miller, Matt (Cristen) Miller, Clayton Miller and Summer Miller; his grandchildren, Kiara, Brody, Reyna and Cadence Miller; his mother, Anna Miller; his brother, Tom (Janet) Miller; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sue and Terry Vermillion; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Patrick and Wanda Clayton; his special cousin, Deanna Brueggert; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at The Promise Church, 12648 E. 116th St., Fishers. A celebration of Daniel's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. A graveside committal service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
