---- — Jessie Mary (Edrington) Caplinger, 100, of East Wenatchee, Wash., died at home July 3, 2013. She was born at Max, Boone County, IN, October 14, 1912 to Vesper Edrington and Lora Cleaver. Jessie was in the first (1931) graduating class of Dover High School. She moved to Seattle in 1933 to marry her high school sweetheart, Kenneth T. Caplinger. She retired as the office manager of PRIM Services after many years of employment, volunteering at her church and helping family and friends in countless instances. Her happiest times were spent with the little grandchildren, great grandchildren, and all the preschool daycare children at church, where she volunteered faithfully every week after she retired. When asked one time what her favorite hobby was, she replied, "Getting the work done!" Even her free time was productive with masterpieces of crochet work which her family uses and loves today. In 2007 she joined her daughter and son-in-law at their home in East Wenatchee, WA.

She is survived by two sisters, Olive Wells of Lebanon, IN and Lois Howard of Seattle, WA, a son, Paul (Karen) Caplinger of Battle Ground, WA, a daughter, Janet (Lon) Posenjak of East Wenatchee, WA, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Caplinger, her son, Ronald Caplinger, two brothers, Lloyd and Devon Edrington, and a sister, Nellie Urban.

Arrangements were by Telfords Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee, WA.
