— Mr. Charles Richard Quick, 88, of Lebanon, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Quick was born April 21, 1924, in Lebanon. He was the son of the late Arthur Buren and Bernice (Sheets) Quick. He was a lifelong resident of Boone County, graduating from Whitestown High School in 1943.
He married Norma Jean Palmer on March 30, 1947, in Lebanon. Mrs. Quick survives.
Mr. Quick had farmed all of his life. He resided on the same farm north of Lebanon since 1954, where he raised grain and livestock. For several years he drove a school bus for the Lebanon school district.
He enjoyed his family and friends, as well as his involvement in the Happy Hoppers Square Dance Club.
Mr. Quick was a life member of the Lebanon Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include his wife, Norma J. Quick of Lebanon; three children, Ted Richard (Sally) Quick of Zionsville, Mike A. (companion Carol McClaine) Quick of Lebanon and Jane A. (Gerald) Heath of Hillsboro; two sisters, Beulah Bishop and Betty (Ed) Crain, all of Lebanon; sisters-in-law, Barbara Quick and Shirley Quick, both of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by nephew, Jeffery Dean Quick; three brothers, Lloyd Quick, Robert Quick and Buren Quick Jr.; and two sisters, Helen Johnson and Mary Louise Quick.
Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Marcy Patrick officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
