Mrs. Cathy Lee Miller, 58, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at her home.
Cathy was born Sept. 7, 1955, in Indianapolis, a daughter of the now late Dallas and Oma (Root) Land. She was raised and educated in Indianapolis and attended John Marshall High School. She resided in Indianapolis until the family moved to the Elizaville community about 1985.
On July 12, 1974, she was married to Gerald Wayne Miller, in Indianapolis. Mr. Miller passed away on April 13, 2005.
Cathy spent her years raising and taking care of her children, and looking after the well-being of close family members. She also had worked for Kentucky Fried Chicken in Lebanon.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and enjoyed taking care of her family.
Cathy was a member of Lebanon Rock Church.
Survivors include son, G. Wayne Miller II of Lebanon; two sisters, Ruby (Mike) Cornett of Brooksville, Fla., and Diane Murphy of Indianapolis; two brothers, Duane (Wanda) Land of Paoli and Harold Land of Indianapolis; and three granddaughters, Taylor Sue Miller of Lebanon, Madison Bell Coryell of Chatham, Ill., and Abigail Faith Wertz of Whitestown.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; a daughter, Lori Ann Miller Clark; two brothers-in-law, Steve Murphy and Ronald Gene Miller; and a sister-in-law, Alberta Land.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 13, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Myers Chapel of Memories, with Pastor Shane Frazier officiating. Interment will follow services at Browns Wonder Cemetery near Lebanon.
