---- — Mr. Harold D. Clawson, 85, of Jamestown, passed away June 11, 2014.

Harold was born Oct. 27, 1928, in Indiana. He was the son of the now late Asa and Mary (Heaton) Clawson. He was married to Lois (Ludwig) Clawson on Sept. 12, 1954. She survives.

Harold was an Army Sergeant and served in Korea from 1950 to 1952. He then worked for Harpel Seeds Inc. (formerly Walter J. Harpel Seed Co.) as a seed processor and then owned and managed the company from 1990 until retiring in 1999. Harold was a member of the Shannondale Bethel Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon.

Survivors include his wife, Lois; children: Gerald (Janet) Clawson of Crawfordsville; Devon (Kathy) Clawson of Jamestown; a stepgrandson, Thaddeus (Laura) Haltom of North Carolina; a stepgreat-granddaughter, Ava Gianna Haltom of North Carolina; a brother, Raymond Clawson of North Carolina and a niece, Mindy Clawson of Vermont.

Family and friends will gather from 4 until 7 p.m. Sunday, June 15, for visitation and services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 16, with Pastor Tom Evans officiating in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Harold will be laid to rest in PISGAH Cemetery in Montgomery County.
