Rosemary Shortz

Rosemary Shortz, age 91, longtime Zionsville resident, passed away June 27, 2014.She was born Feb. 7, 1923, in Medaryville, to the late Ralph W. and Zelma (Campbell) Harris. Rosemary was a graduate of Medaryville High School, where she met her now late husband of 66 years Elmer John Shortz, Jr.Rosemary is survived by her children William E. Shortz, Elaine Wilson (Charles), Ed Shortz (Jeanne), and Sally Ann Shortz; grandsons Mark Shortz (Megan) and Tom Wilson (Leslie); and two great grandchildren Charlie and Betsy. She is also survived by her brother, Bernard A. Harris. Rosemary was preceded in death by her brother Byron W. Harris.Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Monday June 30, at Salem United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Medaryville, at White Post Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 6701 S.
