Glenn H. Fisher

A celebration of life memorial will be held to honor Glenn H. Fisher, formerly of Lebanon, at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Hope Community Church, 665 W. 375 N, Lebanon.

Mr. Fisher was born Jan. 17, 1923, in Mecca, Ind., to William E. and Elizabeth Mae (Esteb) Fisher, along with five siblings. His siblings preceded him in passing.

A veteran of World War II, he graduated from Butler University in 1948, and became an educator. He gave 54 years of service before finally retiring and moving to Florida. At the time of his death on Dec. 6, 2012, he resided in Valrico, Fla., with his wife Betty (Cross) Fisher, who survives him.

Glenn, or “Lil Fish,” as he was affectionately known, was an avid “Bulldog” fan. He enjoyed all sports and was a high school basketball and golf coach. In retirement, he enjoyed golf, fishing and crossword puzzles.

A private family gathering and ceremony will be held in Bridgeton, Ind., for the interment of his ashes.
