Genevieve “Jenny” Morrow

— Lebanon

1921-2013

Genevieve “Jenny” Morrow, 92, of Lebanon, died at 5:35 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Hickory Creek at Lebanon.

She was born Jan. 1, 1921, in Mulberry, the daughter of Grover C. Sr. and Lena DuVall Garrison.

Jenny was married to William D. Force, who died during World War II. She later married Charles Robert “Bob” Morrow; he also preceded her in death.

She graduated from Mulberry High School. She worked for Garrison Oil Co. and various other places. She loved chocolate and Big Band music. Jenny played drums with Freddy Shaffer’s All-Girl Orchestra in the 1930s.

Surviving Jenny are her brother, James Garrison of Bloomington; one sister, Evelyn Schetzsle of Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands, she is preceded in death by her parents; seven sisters, Agnes Garrison, Violet Bryan, Hazel Blood, Edith Harvey, Helen Garrison, Eileen Weidner and Nadine Owens Swan; and three brothers, Grover “Gary” Garrison Jr., William P. Garrison and Wallace Garrison.

Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, at Genda Funeral Home, 608 N. Main St. Frankfort. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort.
