Walter A. “Brother” Aeschliman

Mr. Walter A. “Brother” Aeschliman, 85, of Lebanon, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at home.

The son of Walter and Eva (Querry) Aeschliman, Walter was born on Aug. 30, 1927, in Johnstown, Pa.

Walter served in the United States Army. He was married to Betty Jo (Dishman) for almost 60 years; she preceded him in death on May 1, 2011.

Walter was a successful businessman who owned several businesses including Walter A. Aeschliman Inc. in Indianapolis. He was a member of the Grand Lodge Free and Accepted Masons of Indiana Lodge No. 669 for more than 60 years, Lebanon Elks Lodge and United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He was a member of Lynhurst Baptist Church and in his later years attended New Brunswick Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling throughout the United States and internationally. He supported the sports programs in the Decatur Central Township of Indianapolis throughout his life.

Survivors include his children Tamie Jo (Jim) Morog, Keith (Kamilla) Aeschliman, Dana (Katarzyna) Aeschliman, and Troy (Patrea) Aeschliman; grandchildren Amber Aeschliman Lamar, Ashley (Sam) Morog Starkey, Christina Morog, Brian Aeschliman, Julie Venis Morog, Seth Aeschliman, Zeb Aeschliman, Brooke Aeschliman, and Daphne Aeschliman; and great-grandson Ethan Lamar.

Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, for services at New Brunswick Church of Christ, with the Rev. Jim Coyle officiating.

Mr. Aeschliman will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon next to his wife.

Memorial contributions can be made to the local Boy Scouts in your area.
