---- — D “Jill” (Vice) Padgett was born May 5, 1953, in Lafayette, to James R. Vice and Bonnie (Bogan) Benge. Jill passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Central in Lafayette. She is survived by husband of 42 years, L Michael Padgett of Frankfort.

She worked at Lebanon/Frankfort Wal-Mart for 17 years, and retired in 2009. Mrs. Padgett graduated from Frankfort High School in 1971.

She loved to watch her blue jay and cardinal birds, and loved gardening and working in her flower beds. She loved spending time with her family and eight grandchildren. She also enjoyed being in the Woman’s Lioness Club, Perry Township Woman’s Auxiliary and a past Pride of Perry 4-H Leader.

Mrs. Padgett is survived by her father, James R. Vice of Mulberry; stepdad, Jack (Ellen) Benge of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one brother, Harold (Susie) Vice of Mulberry; sister, Deb Rees of Frankfort; two daughters, Mindi (Todd) McCollum and Misti (Steve) Moore; nephew, Jeff (Deanna) Vice of Frankfort; niece, Tammy Michel (Chuck) of California; nephew, Hank Vice of Texas; grandchildren, Taylor Shoemaker (fiancé, Daniel Rose) of Frankfort, Kegan Smith (fiancé, Kendra Okey) of Brownsburg, and Justin Allent, Caleb and Payton McCollum, Mitchell Allen, and Tatum and LeAnna Moore, all of Frankfort; Aunt Charlene Speaker of Lafayette; several brothers- and sisters-in-law; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie (Bogan) Benge; and sisters, Marilyn Galvin and Colette Vice.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at New Hope Church 5306 W. CR 600 S, Frankfort. All are welcome.

Donations may be made in honor of Jill to the Clinton County Cancer Fund. Envelopes will be available at the church.
