Mr. Clem W. Horlacher, 80, of Dover, passed away May 12, 2014, at Witham Hospital in Lebanon.
Clem was born Nov. 11, 1933, in Clinton County, a son of the now late Claude W. and Lelah Strange Horlacher. He married Sandra K. (Caldwell) Horlacher on Oct. 4, 1959, in Advance. She survives.
Clem graduated from Dover in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked at Shumates and retired from Reynolds and Reynolds after 46 years. He was an Assistant Scout Leader for 20 years, a longtime member of the Shannondale Church and belonged to the Thorntown Lions Club. Clem enjoyed bowling, gardening, watching sports and spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; son, Terry Horlacher; daughter, Tammy (Jeff) Boles; and grandchildren, Adam and Erin Boles. Also surviving are brothers, Carl (Lois) Horlacher, Lloyd (Emma Jean) Horlacher and Glen (Betty) Horlacher; sister, Doris Shirrell; and brother-in-law, Don (Juliette) Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers-in-law.
Family and friends will gather from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday, May 16, for visitation, and services on Saturday, May 17 at 11 a.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Clem will be laid to rest at Shannondale Cemetery in Shannondale.
