Aaron Jacob Cox

Mr. Aaron Jacob Cox, 27, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Boone County, died Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, at his residence.

Mr. Cox was born in Bedford, Texas, on Aug. 11, 1983, the son of Jerry Allan and Kelly Marie (McClellan) Cox. He had been a resident of Boone County from an early age and attended schools in Thorntown and Lebanon.

Aaron had a great love for music, mostly rock, and was a talented guitarist. He had traveled quite a bit until he found the ocean, which was where he belonged. Aaron was a free spirit who lived life the way he thought it should be lived.

He was employed in the construction and remodeling industry.

As a devoted son, father and brother he enjoyed his family and their activities. Aaron had many and varied interests including the beach and visiting friends.

Survivors include son, Keegan Cox; father, Jerry Cox of Lebanon; mother, Kelly (Mike) Schreiner of Tombstone, Ariz.; brothers, Ian Cox and Jordan Cox, both of Lebanon; sisters, Lindsey Cox of Lebanon and Rachael Cox of Kokomo; grandmother, Betty Cox of Lebanon; and grandfather, Jack (Sheree) McClellan of Zionsville.

He was preceded in death by a grandmother, JoAnn McClellan, and a grandfather, James W. Cox.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan, 6, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Myers Chapel of Memories, with Steve Jaggers officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
