Charles D. Ottinger

Mr. Charles D. Ottinger, 86, of Cloverdale, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at The Waters of Greencastle.

Mr. Ottinger was born April 16, 1926, in Zionsville, and was the son of the late Charles Clifford and Emma Florence (Barckdall) Ottinger.

He married Peggy Ann Williams on Jan. 19, 1947; she preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Jerene (Rudolph) Rodriguez of Cloverdale and Jeffrey (Linda) Ottinger of Liberty; and his grandchildren, Jolanda Jarrell, Selena Rodriguez, Kayla Ottinger and Andrea Ottinger.

Mr. Ottinger was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of American Legion Post No. 79, Zionsville.

Visitation will be held on from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at the Whitaker Funeral Home, 201 N. Lafayette St., Cloverdale. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Eloise Ottinger, and his granddaughter, Tanya Minnie Lou Ottinger.
