Jack Lee Kelsey, 67, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013, at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis.
He was born Feb. 6, 1946, in Lebanon, the son of Ottis and Della Czajka (Jackson) Kelsey.
Jack graduated from Dover High School in 1964, and then from barber college, and he worked for 41 years as a barber. He owned and operated his own barber shop in Lebanon for many years.
He spent time in the Indiana National Guard. He also attended an Advanced Sales School for Honda and was one of the top 200 sales associates in the country.
He was a member of Central Christian Church, and he was a Freemason.
Surviving are his wife, Candace Kelsey of Muncie; a daughter, Tricia (Joe) Stanley of Jamestown; three stepdaughters, Laura (Peter) Drumm of Muncie, Catherine (Scott) Loft of Edmund, Okla., and Julia (Bryan) McClendon of Pell City, Ala.; six grandchildren, Paige, Rex, Alex, Zach, Joshua and Brittney; a sister, Sue (Charlie) Fink of Colfax; two nieces, Kellie (Torrey) Rodkey of Avon and Karmen Fink of Indianapolis; and two nephews, Bill (Shelly) Kelsey of Jamestown and Darrell (Michelle) Kelsey of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Kelsey.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Dover Christian Church, 955 Ind. 75, the corner of Ind. 75 and Ind. 32, in Dover. A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
