Mr. Robert Rex “Bob” Baldwin, 54, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2013, in Lebanon.
Mr. Baldwin was born Feb. 5, 1959, in Lebanon,. He was the son of Linda L. (Sheets) Ottinger and the late Robert L. Baldwin. He was reared and educated in Boone County and attended Lebanon High School.
He married Rose M. Hood on Sept. 3, 1986, in Lebanon. Mrs. Baldwin survives.
Mr. Baldwin was the maintenance supervisor for the Indian Springs Apartments complex in Lebanon for the past seven years. He had also previously worked in maintenance for Oak Park Manor and at the Indy 500 Truck Stop in Lebanon.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed fishing and rooting for the Hendricks Motorsports team in NASCAR and the Indianapolis Colts.
Survivors include his wife, Rose M. Baldwin of Lebanon; four children, Bobbi (Scott) Noland of Lebanon, Joseph (Jodi) Shockley of Lafayette, April (Ryan) Rich of Flora and Amanda (Deron) Mackie of Charlotte, N.C.; his mother, Linda L. Ottinger of Lyford; eight brothers: Patrick L. (Melissa) Baldwin of Lafayette, John D. (Kimberly) Baldwin of Indianapolis, Ronald D. Baldwin of Lebanon, Scott Clevenger of Clinton, and Roy E. (Jamie) Clevenger, William A. (Michelle) Clevenger and Mike A. (Stephanie) Clevenger, all of Lebanon; aunt, Gale Baldwin Clifton of Bloomington; and 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his father, Robert Leroy Baldwin; a brother, Chet Baldwin; an uncle, Cleon Sheets Sr.; and cousin, Danny Sheets Sr.
Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. today, May 3, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Myers Chapel of Memories, with Pastor Merv McNair and Pastor Matt Skiles officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.
