Bettilou Pullins, 87, of Alamogordo, N.M., died April 14, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Medaryville, to the now-deceased Fred and Gale (Lowe) Wagner. She graduated from Medaryville High School in 1942, and completed two years at Purdue University, West Lafayette.
Bettilou married Willis “Bud” Pullins on June 25, 1943, in Medaryville. Bud died April 3, 2008.
She was a member of the Medaryville United Methodist Church, where she taught Bible school classes. She was a charter member of the Aim-High Home Extension Club and had been a 4-H Leader in Medaryville. She had also been a den mother for the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Bettilou enjoyed cooking, sewing, hand crafts and drawing. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Later in life, she enjoyed volunteering at the space museum, zoo and library in Alamogordo. She loved her schnauzers, Jake and Chloe.
Family was very important to Bettilou. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include son, Willis T. “Terry” (Sandy) Pullins of Frankfort; daughter, Della Gale (Anthony) DeRollo of Alamogordo; grandchildren, Steve (Kristie) Pullins, Willis J. Bohac, Robbyne (Jesus) Mauldin, Jeff (Sharon) Pullins and Brett (Lane) Pullins; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Pullins, Andrew Pullins, Anna Pullins and Mia Bosarge; and brother, Fred (Delores) Wagner of Medaryville.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, June Sage.
Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, 318 E. Pearl St., Medaryville. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary, with Pastor Susan Jennys officiating. Private burial will take place at Independence Cemetery, Medaryville
