Ruby M. Woods

Attica

1925-2012

Ruby M. (Wills) Woods, 87, of rural Attica, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012, at the I.U. Health Arnett Hospital, Lafayette.

Ruby was born Feb. 4, 1925, in Lebanon. She was the daughter of the late George and Cora (Kusey) Wills. She was raised in Lebanon and graduated from Center Ridge Elementary School and attended Lebanon High School for three years.

She quit high school to assist her mother in caring for her Grandpa, Jesse Kusey, for the next three years. After his death, Ruby worked for Boss Manufacturing Company until 1944. She moved to Tennessee to work at Shumate Printing for the next four years.

On Aug. 29, 1958, Ruby married Richard Benjamin Woods in Lebanon. They lived in Clarks Hill for awhile and later moved to the farm in Warren County. There she helped milk cows, raise hogs and assisted her husband with farming, enjoying every minute of it. Her husband preceded her in death on May 30, 2007.

Ruby enjoyed listening to country and blue grass music.

She leaves behind her good friends, David and Jacki Brier of Attica. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Wills.

Friends may call from 12 to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at the Maus Funeral Home, 704 S. Council St., Attica. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Steve Brier speaking. Burial will follow in the Rainsville Cemetery, Rainsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rainsville Cemetery.
