Fred J. Snoke

Fred J. Snoke, 87, of Charlotte, N.C., passed away at home Friday, Feb. 22, 2013.

Fred was born on July 30, 1925, to Fred and Gertrude (Cox) Snoke in Lebanon. His parents preceded him in death, along with his first wife, Patricia (Brock) Snoke and a second wife, Georgia (Crockett) Snoke.

He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II, with honorable discharge in 1946. He retired in 1991, after working for Pittman-Moore for 20 years, and then with Blue Lustre in Indianapolis for an additional 20 years

Fred was a member of Central Christian Church in Carmel and the VFW in Westfield.

He is survived by daughters, Sherry (John) Alexander and Elizabeth (Jim) McColgin; a son, Raymond (LaVonne) Snoke; stepdaughters, Lydia (Gary) Miller and Linda (Vincent) Stevens; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, March 1, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral center, with Pastor Richard Clark officiating. Burial will be at Eagle Creek Cemetery in Westfield.
