Pauline Elizabeth Steiner

Mrs. Pauline Elizabeth Steiner, 86, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon.

Born on April 2, 1927, in Kramer, Pa., she was a daughter of the now late John and Julia (Flasher) Petrick. Raised in Pennsylvania, she was a 1944 graduate of Sykesville High School.

On Nov. 20, 1946, Pauline was married to Donald L. Steiner in Sykesville, Pa. Mr. Steiner passed away on June 7, 2000.

She and her family moved to Lebanon in the early 1960s. While in Lebanon, she worked at Western Auto, Boone Mutual Insurance and at Northside OB/GYN, retiring in the late 1980s. For a period of time, she volunteered at the Witham Memorial Hospital.

Devoted to her family, Pauline loved all of her grandchildren immensely. She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, dancing, and wintering in St. Augustine, Fla.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Lebanon.

Survivors include two children, Cheryl Ann (David) Dulin of Lizton, and  Carole Lynn (David) Thomas of Indianapolis; brother, John (Betty) Petrick Jr. of York, Pa.; sister-in-law, Verna Petrick of Michigan; three grandchildren, Kristina M. (Adam) Coakley, Erin M. Thomas and Ryan N. Thomas; three great-grandchildren, Chase A. Coakley, Zane A. Coakley and Cree D. Coakley; one great-great-grandchild, Connie Coakley; and her special caregiver, Joyce Herrmann of Lebanon.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Joseph Petrick, Walter Petrick and Fredrick Petrick.

Visitation is noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 319 E. South St., Lebanon. A funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Timothy Kroeger officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, is handling the arrangements.
