Dorothy Evaline Schoettle

Dorothy Evaline Schoettle, 91, of Jamestown, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at Homewood Health Campus, Lebanon.

She was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Jackson, Mich., daughter of Ruben J. Scheffel and Tressie Thorpe, both deceased.

She was a member of St. Paul’s E&R Church.

Dorothy was a homemaker, beautician and an office worker. She retired as an office worker  for Weger Business Forms, Lansing, Mich.

Surviving are son, John R. (Jack) Schoettle of Jamestown; daughter, Janet (Douglas) Wall of Bonita Springs, Fla.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Schoettle; her brother, Robert Scheffel; and one great-grandchild.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Lansing.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages a donation to your favorite charity.
