Carolyn Jean Linton

Mrs. Carolyn Jean Linton, 76, of Jamestown, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in Parkwood Health Care.

She was born July 19, 1936, in Pittsboro, daughter of the now late Kenneth Randle and Hazel (Coons) Covey.

Mrs. Linton was a member of the Pittsboro Baptist Church.

Surviving are daughters, Debbie (Debra) Sue Roetker and Donna Marie Graham (Scott Bundy); sons, Randle Fred Linton and Joseph Ray (Arla) Linton; brother, Donald Covey; sister, Rose Hilderbrand; grandchildren, Sarah Cooke, Jason Graham, Katie Strainer, Jamee Henry and Joshua Linton; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Clarence Linton; and brother, Keith Covey.

Family and friends will gather from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at the Porter Funeral Home, 315 W. Main St., Jamestown. Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with Buddy Blanton officiating. Burial will be at the Old Union Cemetery.
