Gloria Jean Krause

Mrs. Gloria Jean Krause, 68, of Pittsboro, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at I.U. Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.   

Mrs. Krause was born Jan. 2, 1945, in Indianapolis, a daughter of Russell and Myrtle (Bennett) Meador. Both parents are deceased.

She was married in 1963 to Ralph David Krause Sr. He survives.

Gloria was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Indianapolis and a member of Young at Heart at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Brownsburg. She was a beloved wife and mother for 50 years.

Survivors include her husband, David; daughter, Laurie A. (Brad) Small of Indianapolis; son, Ralph D. Krause Jr., of Loves Park, Ill.; and daughter, April L. (James) Chludzinski of Elkton, Fla.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and siblings, David (Linda) Meador of Indianapolis and Kendall (Diane) Meador of Winchester. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Meador.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday, June 19, for visitation from 4 until 8 p.m. in the Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon, with Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, at the St. Anthony Catholic Church, 337 N. Warman Ave., Indianapolis. Mrs. Krause will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown.
