Malinda “Mindy” Summers

— Malinda “Mindy” Summers, 44, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Witham Memorial Hospital.

Mindy was born May 22, 1969, in Lebanon, the daughter of Charles A. Summers and Maridell (Smith) Summers.

She moved to Florida in 1982, and graduated from Avon Park High School in 1987 as the salutatorian of her class. She moved back to Indiana in 1989 when she received her LPN license.

Mindy worked at Essex Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon, and Zionsville Meadows.

She was a dedicated daughter, sister and mother. She enjoyed every moment spent with her child, Xander.

Mindy was a member of Faith Love & Hope Church of Lebanon.

Survivors include her father, Charles A. (Linda) Summers of Indianapolis; her mother, Ms. Maridell Summers of Lebanon; her son, Xander A. Flores of Lebanon; four brothers, Curtis A. (Jean Ellen) Summers of Lebanon, Jason (Beth) Summers of Crawfordsville, and Jacob Snyder and Matthew Snyder, both of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon.

No funeral services are planned. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
