David Wayne Hunt


— Mr. David Wayne Hunt, 64, Lapel and formerly of Lebanon, died Thursday, June 20, at his home.

Mr. Hunt was born in Lebanon on March 23, 1949, a son of Myrtle (Philbeck) Bailey and the late Marvin Wayne Hunt.

Reared and educated in Lebanon, he attended Lebanon High School.

On July 1, 1995, in Cambridge City, he was married to Sharon Jean (Dooley) Hunt. Mrs. Hunt survives.

David moved from Lebanon to Westfield in 1994 and then to Lapel in 1999.  He owned and operated Hoosier Drywall.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved all moments spent with his grandchildren. Through the years, David enjoyed coaching little league, golfing and woodworking in his spare time.

  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sharon J. Hunt of Lapel; his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Bailey of Lebanon; three children, Marvin W. Hunt of Lebanon, Tonya D. Hunt of Goldsmith, Tammy R. Levell and husband, Terrry, of Daleville; sister, Janet Smith of Lebanon, and three grandchildren, Brooke R. Smith, Kennedy R. Woodward and Carson C. Woodward.

He was proceeded in death by his father, and by his step-father, Richard Bailey.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013, at 10:30 a.m., at Myers Chapel of Memories, 1502 N. Lebanon St., in Lebanon.

Visitation is planned from 2 to 5 p.m., on Sunday, June 23, 2013, at the funeral home in Lebanon.

Interment will be held at a later date.
